Description

CT Technologist - General Imaging (Contract)

Job Details

Specialty: General Imaging - CT
Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility Information

Scanners: 5 CT scanners available
Patient Types:
- Inpatient, Outpatient, ER
- Some pediatric patients (2-3 per month, usually teenagers; no pediatric experience required)
- Studies include general anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, head
- Procedural cases such as biopsies and drains

Patient Ratios

1:1 patient to technologist ratio

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ARRT-CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - CT certification)

Required Skills and Experience

General CT experience in a hospital setting
Experience with the patient types and procedures listed above
Experience with GE equipment preferred (GE Revolution and Evo models)

Unit Support

Other CT technologists
Radiology RNs
Respiratory Therapists (RRT), Code Blue team
Centralized transport team

Charting System

EPIC electronic health record system

Additional Notes

Scrub color: any color allowed except camouflage or denim
