Position Details
- Employment Type: Contractor
- Specialty: General Surgery with strong skills in Robotic and Vascular Surgery
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- Not recommended for first-time travelers without further approval/evaluation

Skills
- Must be familiar with surgical specialties relevant to the position (e.g., General Surgery, Vascular, Robotic procedures)
- Candidates should be able to detail their experience with vascular and robotic procedures
Unit Support
- Charge Nurse, Leads, Supervisors available for support
Technology and Equipment
- EPIC (Electronic Health Records)
- Alaris infusion pumps
- Pyxis medication dispensing system
Floating
- Floating within surgical services, including the urology center
Orientation
- 1 to 1.5 weeks, depending on team and shift (subject to change)
Scheduling
- Variable day shift start times between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation: Not applicable
- Time off requests require supervisor approval
- On-call required with a 30-minute response time
Shift Details
- 8-week schedule
- End of Shift (EOS) call slots:
- 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM: 8-10 slots
- 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM: 2-4 slots
- 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM: 1-2 slots
- 1-2 weekends per 8-week period, 12-hour shifts (Saturday & Sunday)
- Schedule subject to change based on department needs
Holiday Expectations
- Options during holiday weeks:
- Work 4 shifts of 10 hours each, or
- Work normal hours and request unpaid time off for the holiday
