Description

Job Opportunity: Medical-Surgical (Renal) Nurse (Travel)

Specialty: Medical - Surgical (Renal)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details:

  • Location: Medical-Surgical Diabetic Renal Unit (DRMU)
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts, assignments end on Saturday
  • Schedule: 2 to 3 weekends per month based on unit needs
  • Orientation: Every other Monday
  • One assignment only, no renewals
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Teaching hospital environment with frequent interaction with students and new hires
  • Charge nurse experience preferred

Requirements:

  • Prior travel nursing experience is required
  • Minimum 2 years of work history with explanations for any gaps over 90 days
  • Active VA or Compact nursing license required at start
  • Skills checklist and license verification required
  • Must submit all required documentation at time of application
  • Must be willing to contribute to a supportive culture for students and new hires

Additional Notes:

  • The client may cancel assignments up to 36 hours in advance due to census fluctuations
  • IV starts to be offered with limited return to orientation (RTO)
  • Approved declinations for Covid/Flu vaccinations are accepted
