Travel RN Opportunity – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Facility Type: Hospital – CVICU Unit
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Number of Beds: 16
- Number of Staff: 45 (All RNs)
- Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Patient Ratio: 2 patients per 1 RN
- Equipment Used:
- GE monitors
- EV 1000
- Hemispheres
- CRRT (NextStage)
- Impella
- Swan Ganz catheters
- Arterial lines
- Chest tubes
- Ventilators
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any critical care specialty)
- Experience with ventilators
- Skilled in management of arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes
Preferred Qualifications
- CVICU-specific experience, including CABG recovery
- Experience with CRRT and Impella devices
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- BSN degree
- CCRN certification

- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Swan Ganz catheter management
- Arterial line management
- Chest tube care
Work Environment & Culture
- Team-oriented, collaborative care environment
- Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
Additional Information
- Floating Areas: Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, Cardiac PCU
- Weekend Shifts: 2 weekend shifts every two weeks
- No on-call required
