CT Technologist - General Imaging (Contract)

Job Overview

• Perform basic and intermediate computed tomography (CT) procedures under the direction of a Radiologist.
• Work primarily with general anatomy scans including calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and head.
• Participate in procedural imaging such as biopsies and drains.

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of hospital CT experience required; 1 year experience not accepted.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Experience with GE CT equipment preferred (GE Revolution and Evo).
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT-CT.

Patient Population

• Mix of inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients.
• Some pediatric patients (approximately 2-3 per month, mostly teenagers); no pediatric experience required.
• Patient ratio is 1:1.

Work Environment & Support

• Support team includes other CT technologists, Radiology RNs, Respiratory Therapists, Code Blue team, and centralized transport.
• Charting system used: EPIC.
• No floating to other units.

Orientation & Scheduling

• Orientation consists of 3 shifts to learn workflow.
• No weekend rotation.
• No on-call duties.
• Holiday work expected: 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday.
• Fatigue policy limits work to no more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts.
