CT Technologist (Contract)

Location

• Burlington, WI

Facility Overview

• 123-bed facility
• Level III Trauma Center
• Primary Stroke Center
• COVID vaccine required

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Weekend call rotation: 1 in 8 weeks

Job Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Position requires working independently at night without other support
• Floating between CT and X-Ray based on needs
• Orientation: 4 days

  • Day 1: Meet with supervisor
  • Days 2-4: Training with X-Ray and CT techs

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 3 years experience, preferably in acute care setting
• Must be skilled in both CT and X-Ray (position requires interchangeability)
• CT skills:

  • IV skills (preferred)
  • Power injection
  • Experience with GE or Toshiba CT scanners
  • CTA, trauma, stroke experience
• X-Ray skills:

  • General X-ray
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Experience with Fuji or Cannon equipment
• First-time travelers are welcome with 3+ years acute care experience

Patient Types & Procedures

• Inpatient and Emergency Department patients only (no outpatient)
• CT scans include strokes, traumas, abdominal, COVID, CTA, angiography, contrast/non-contrast, vascular
• X-Ray includes fluoroscopy, OR, all body parts (chest, abdominal, hand, joint, extremity)
• Average scans per day: 45
• Patient ratio: 1:1

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS
• ARRT
• Wisconsin state license

Equipment & Systems

• EPIC (required)
• McKesson PACS
• GE and Toshiba CT scanners
• Fuji (portable) and Cannon X-Ray machines

PPE & Safety

• Adequate PPE provided
• N95 masks and PAPR available

Dress Code & Other Notes

• Scrub color: Any except camo, denim, or hoodies
• Free parking in designated areas
