Job Opportunity: Med/Surge Tele - Neurosciences Unit

Location: Springfield, Massachusetts

Department Overview

Acute neuroscience department with 37 beds
Specializes in neurological conditions including:
- Stroke (main focus)
- Spinal cord injuries
- Brain injuries
- Seizures
- Spinal/brain lesions
- Spinal epidural abscess
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Brain and spinal surgeries
- Multiple sclerosis (MS)

Unit Details

Unit size: 37 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6

Requirements

Preferred experience: 2 years in relevant specialty
Required certifications:
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – must be renewed yearly
- Basic Life Support (BLS)

Contract Length
