Description

Travel Nurse Opportunity: Medical - Surgical (Telemetry)

Job Details

  • Specialty: Medical - Surgical (Telemetry)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts; weekends and holidays expected
  • Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)
  • Start Date: December 1 only
  • Location Restriction: No local travelers accepted (must reside more than 50 miles from the facility)

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
  • Ability to pass Telemetry Competency Exam (85% passing score, one attempt only, no retake)
  • Current ACLS (American Heart Association) certification required
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Knowledge of Critical Paths
  • Charge Nurse experience preferred
  • Documented professional developmental activities

Testing & Onboarding

  • Pass/fail ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during onboarding
  • Tests administered remotely via Zoom within 48 hours of offer
  • Study guide provided; preparation strongly recommended
  • No remediation or retake opportunity

Additional Information

  • Must be willing to float to like units and overflow areas
  • Orientation occurs biweekly
  • Flu vaccination required for compliance
  • All return-to-office (RTO) requests must be submitted at time of application
