Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: CT Tech
- ARRT certification required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Must be willing to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday
Required Credentials & Certifications
- ARRT certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – as required; AHA only for certain units
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required, AHA only for ER
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as required
- State License – Primary Source Verification required
- NURSYS Verification (for RNs)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during work hours)
- Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
- Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Federal and international searches required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated with renewals
- Education Verification – highest degree earned
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
- Competency Exams (as applicable)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
- Photo for badge (recent, plain background, shoulders up, no filters)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Physician statement within last 12 months (not required annually)
- Immunizations/Vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (TDAP) required
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year; annual updates required
- Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions for candidates born before 1957
- Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions for candidates born before 1957
- Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions for candidates born before 1957
- Hepatitis B: Vaccine series or positive titer required; declinations accepted only under specific circumstances
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
- Hepatitis A: Required only for specific departments (ED, NICU, Endoscopy, Pediatric, Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby)
- Drug Testing:
- 9 or 10 panel drug screen with alcohol test within 1 year of start; updated annually
- Flu Vaccine:
- Required during flu season (10/1 - 3/31) or approved exemption with masking required if exempt
- COVID-19 Vaccine: No longer required
Additional Requirements
- References:
- 2 professional references within 2 years for Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care positions
- 1 professional reference for Per Diem Non-Acute Care positions
- Performance and Internal Evaluations if previously employed over 1 or 2 years respectively
