Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Roanoke, Virginia

Position Details

• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Friday-Sunday), 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Shift Flexibility: Start time can vary between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM based on scheduling needs
• On Call: No on-call required
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work or take call for one holiday during the 13-week contract (rotational basis)
• Travelers: First-time travelers not accepted; local radius rule applies (no locals accepted)
• Floating: May be required to float to a nearby facility approximately half a mile away

Required Experience & Skills

• Siemens CT scanner experience required
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Radiation safety knowledge

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Virginia state license required (emergency authorization available while permanent license is processing)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(CT) preferred

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• I-9 or attestation
• Valid Driver’s License/State ID with address within 100 miles of facility
• E-Verify or attestation
• Background check covering 7 years of history, including education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Physical exam within 1 year, free from communicable diseases
• Fit test within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
• Professional photo for badge
• References: 2 clinical references required
• Skills checklist updated annually

Additional Notes

• Radiation badges for new candidates are supplied by the facility, not by the agency
• Candidates must complete orientation and safety manual acknowledgments prior to start
• Some certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC may be required depending on unit assignment

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with Siemens and Epic experience who hold an active Virginia license and are available for a 13-week travel contract with weekend shifts.
