Description

Travel RN Opportunity - Interventional Radiology (IR)

Location: Arlington, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit Information

  • Unit: Interventional Radiology (IR RN / 727)
  • Location: 1st Floor, Main Hospital
  • Staffing:
    • Day Shift: 3 RNs, 2 Techs (example: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters)
    • Night Shift: On call only
  • Patient Ratios: Not specified
  • Equipment: CT, Ultrasound, IR and Cath labs
  • EMR: Yes
  • On Call Requirement: On call 7 days a week, shared among staff
  • Floating: No floating requirements

Typical Procedures

  • All types of Cath lab and IR cases
  • CT-guided biopsies and drainages
  • Ultrasound-guided biopsies and drainages

Required Skills & Experience

  • IR Lab experience
  • Scrubbing and circulating as an RN in an IR setting

Certifications & Licenses

  • Registered Nurse License (RN)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Travel RN, local CNA, or sitter preferred

Additional Notes

  • Candidates without the required IR skills will not be considered
  • On call duties are mandatory and shared among staff
  • Unit has 7 staff members total
