Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Roanoke, Virginia

Position Details

• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, 9 PM - 7 AM
• Schedule Flexibility: Flexible start/end times; may require adding up to 2 hours either way (full hours guaranteed)
• On Call: No call required
• Holiday: Must be available to work one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational with staff)
• Floating: May be required to float to a nearby facility (~0.5 miles away)
• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
• Locals: Not accepted (radius rule applies)

Required Experience & Skills

• Siemens CT scanner experience required
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Radiation safety knowledge

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT(R) certification required
• ARRT(CT) preferred

Licensing

• Active state license required (Virginia license required or emergency authorization granted while permanent license is processing)

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• I9 or attestation
• Valid Driver’s License/State ID with address within 100 miles of facility
• E-Verify or attestation
• Background check (7 years, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification of highest earned degree
• Physical exam within 1 year, free from communicable diseases
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or mask/declination form during flu season
• Photo for badge (professional, plain background)
• Completion of new hire paperwork and orientation manual review prior to start
• References: 2 clinical references required
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Radiation badge supplied by facility (not provided by agency)

Additional Notes

• Must comply with facility-specific compliance and confidentiality agreements
• Must complete all required documentation within specified timeframes (some within 48 hours of signing)
• No annual background check required by client, but agency requires annual background check for direct candidates
• Candidates with gaps of 30+ days between assignments require new background check within 30 days of new start date

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with Siemens and Epic experience who are licensed in Virginia and able to commit to a 13-week travel contract with night shifts and holiday availability.
