Description

Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Westwood, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
  • Shift: 3 shifts, 12 hours each (day shift)
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
  • Travel Experience: Not required
  • Charting System: Epic experience required
  • Note: Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

Required Credentials & Documentation

Identification & Verification

  • I9 form (for direct candidates)
  • Driver’s License or State ID
  • E-Verify (for direct candidates)
  • 7-year Background Check (updated annually) including:
    • Social Security Trace
    • County searches for last 7 years
    • Nationwide Sex Offender check
    • Education Verification (highest level)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
  • HHS/OIG check upon hire
  • Fingerprinting (time sensitive, for New Mexico placements only)
  • Education Verification (must verify highest level)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (expires annually)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
  • State License Verification (primary source online verification)
  • NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
  • Tech Cert Verification (for applicable allied professionals)
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA required)

Competencies

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet Angoff score)
  • Color Blind Testing (online version accepted)
  • Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet Angoff score)
  • Core Parts I, II, III (for subcontractors, annual completion required)

Facility Specific

  • Clear headshot photo for badge

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
  • Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year
  • TB Questionnaire (if positive TB test, must be within 90 days and renewed annually)
  • Measles (Rubeola): Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if negative/equivocal
  • Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if negative/equivocal
  • Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if negative/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted; boosters accepted if negative/equivocal
  • Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented chickenpox history; boosters required if negative/equivocal
  • Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Dose 1 and Fully Vaccinated) or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Exemption Attestation (if applicable)
  • Flu Vaccine Exemption Attestation (if applicable)

Additional Requirements

  • Complete Employment Application/Resume
  • Unit Specific Skills Checklist (annual)
  • 7 Year Work History Verification (NJ state requires minimum 1 year prior verified with no gaps over 30 days)
  • Professional References (internal requirement only)
