Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Travel/Contract
Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Details
- Shift: RRT 12-hour Days (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Hours: 36 hours accepted
- Schedule: Every other weekend required, no call
- Minimum Experience: 1 year
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Licensing: NH license pending accepted for subs
- Charting System: Epic experience required
Department & Patient Population
- Acute care community hospital with 300 beds
- Units: ER, adult med/surg, adult critical care
- Respiratory Therapy driven protocols
- Patient Age Group: Infants through Geriatrics required; Neonates preferred
- Pediatric ER and pediatrics only if competency demonstrated
- No use in level 3 NICU
Responsibilities
- Nebulizer treatments
- Chest physiotherapy (CPT)
- High flow oxygen therapy
- Non-invasive ventilation (NIV)
- Cough assist, IPV
- Assist with intubations and bronchoscopies
- Mechanical ventilation management
- In-house transport of mechanically ventilated patients
- Continuous albuterol administration
Required Experience
- Trauma, Community Hospital, ER, Adult ICU
- Preferred: Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital, PICU, acute care pediatric experience
Respiratory Care Skills Required
- Airway management
- Medication administration
- Ventilator management
- Arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Oxygen therapy
- Suctioning
- Pulmonary toileting
- Nebulizer treatments
- BiPAP, CPAP
- Bronchoscope use preferred
Equipment Experience (Preferred)
- Puritan Bennett
- Draeger
- Servo I
- LTV 1200/HT70
Certifications & Licenses
Required:
- BLS (AHA Provider)
- NH State License
Preferred:
- ACLS (AHA Provider)
- PALS (AHA Provider)
- CRTT
- RRT
Important Notes
- Travelers who have ever been employed by any facility associated with this health system are not eligible, regardless of separation length or duration worked.
- Background checks and verifications are required within 30 days of start, including Social Security verification, criminal searches (excluding NH counties), education verification, and others as specified by the facility.
- Drug screening (10-panel) required within 14 days prior to start.
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start required.
- Annual fit mask test required for clinical candidates (N95 or equivalent).
- Immunizations and titers required: Tdap, TB test (2-step PPD or equivalent), MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccination (seasonal, with exemptions allowed).
- Respiratory Safety clearance questionnaire required prior to start.
- Pass/fail testing for dysrhythmia/EKG and medication competency exams may be required depending on unit assignment.
- Facility-specific documentation such as photo for badge, license copies, and compliance attestations are required.
- Two professional references within the last 3 years required, including one from a supervisor.
- Employment application and skills checklist required.
Work Environment
- Acute care hospital setting with trauma and critical care units
- Exposure to adult and pediatric patients (with demonstrated competency for pediatrics)
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong respiratory therapy skills and critical thinking
This position is ideal for respiratory therapists with solid acute care experience, familiarity with ventilator management, and proficiency in Epic charting, seeking a travel contract in New Hampshire.
