Travel RN Opportunity - Kansas City, Missouri
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Unit: 6W Transplant Nephrology
- Facility Type: Hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center
- Unit Beds: 20
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Scheduling: 3 weekend shifts per month
- On Call: Not required
- Floating Policy: Agency/Contract nurses float first
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs (black scrub pants allowed)
Unit Environment
- Unit secretary available during the day
- Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available
- Unit educator on staff
- Dialysis procedures are performed off the unit
- Virtual nurse handles patient admissions to allow bedside nurses to focus on patient care
- Recognized with a “We show up” teamwork award
Required Qualifications
- Education: ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing)
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Skills: Med/Surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal care, dialysis knowledge
Contract Length
- 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
This role is ideal for RNs with experience in transplant nephrology and med/surg care who want to work in a supportive, well-staffed unit with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care.
