Job Opportunity: General Medicine Medical-Surgical RN (12-Hour Nights)

Position Details

• Role: General Medicine Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, assignments end on Saturday
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Assignment: One assignment only, no renewals
• Start Dates: 1/12 or 1/26
• Float Requirements:

  • Travelers float first
  • May be asked to float to sister campus (VBH)
• Orientation: Every other Monday
• Travel Experience: Prior travel experience is required for all positions
• Local Candidates: Locals within 60 miles are not accepted
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner experience preferred
• Charge Nurse: Charge responsibility may be required, with appropriate pay differential and training provided
• Cancellation Policy: Client can cancel up to 36 hours before assignment due to census

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of work history experience
• Explanation required for any employment gaps over 90 days
• Skills checklist and copy of Nursys/license required at submission
• IV Skills to be offered with limited Return to Orientation (RTO)
• All RTO documentation must be included at time of submission
• Approved declinations accepted for COVID/Flu vaccinations

Work Environment

• Teaching hospital setting with frequent interaction with students and new hires
• Team members, including travelers, are expected to support a positive culture, especially when working with students and new hires
