Travel RN Opportunity - Richmond, Virginia

Unit Information

Unit: Maternal Infant Unit (MIU)
Location: 3rd Floor, Atrium Building
Number of Beds: 24
Number of Staff: 71
Shift Types and Staff Roles:
- Day Shift: labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator
- Night Shift: labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary
Patient Ratios:
- Labor: 1:1 (most of the time)
- Post-partum: 5-6:1
- Nursery: 5-6:1
Equipment: GE fetal monitors
EMR Systems: Meditech, CPN

Job Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery focus
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of labor experience
Preferred Experience: 2+ years labor experience in LDRP with high birth volumes
Typical Procedures: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum care, newborn and post-partum care

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
Registered Nurse License

Additional Information

Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses wear pink badges for infant security
Schedule: Every third weekend on call with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule
