Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in hospital setting
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Unit & Work Environment

• Unit: Swift Creek ER, 12-bed freestanding ER with 7 vertical fast track area
• Patient Volume: Average 80 patients per day, 100+ during winter surge
• Patient Ratios: 4-8 patients per nurse
• Equipment: GE Optima CT scanner, GE portable x-ray
• Documentation Systems: Meditech, Sectra
• Scheduling: Approximately 36 hours per week, rotating weekends and holidays, no on-call required
• Floating Policy: Not required
• Work Culture: Excellent teamwork and culture with high patient experience scores (>80 percentile)
• Unit Characteristics: Busy, high-acuity freestanding ER with moderate pediatric volume
• Procedures: Normal ER procedures; no surgical procedures or biopsies performed on unit

Job Expectations

• Ability to work independently and cover both CT and X-ray modalities, often as single staff coverage
• Professional, friendly, and strong communication skills required
• Advanced skills needed for Acute Stroke Ready environment
