Travel RN Opportunity - Wichita, Kansas

Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Location: Wichita, Kansas
  • Unit: Emergency Room (52 beds, Wesley West FSED)
  • Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

  • Number of Beds: 52
  • Staffing (Night Shift): 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, 1 midlevel provider per pod
  • Patient Ratios: Average 3:1; low acuity 5:1; pediatrics use team nursing
  • Equipment: Alaris infusion pumps
  • EMR System: Meditech

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • NIH Certification
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Valid Kansas Registered Nurse License

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty
  • Experience working in large facility emergency departments (52 beds or larger) preferred
  • Meditech EMR experience preferred
  • Experience in traveling or working at large facilities is required
