Respiratory Therapist - Des Moines, Iowa (Temp)

Job Overview

• Position type: Temporary contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Location: Des Moines, Iowa (locals within 50 miles considered)
• Work setting: Hospital/medical center
• Patient types: All ages, including PICU, NICU, and general pediatric floors
• Floating required across multiple campuses and pediatric floors

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years hospital/medical center experience
• PICU or NICU experience required; may work across PICU/NICU floors
• Cross-training on general pediatric floor to assist when needed
• Equipment experience with HFOV, Jet, Servo U required
• EPIC EMR experience required

Certifications & Licenses

• Iowa RCP license required (must have in hand; licensing turnaround time varies)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NRP or PALS certification required

Additional Requirements

• Work history/resume
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• License verification
• Copy of required certifications
• One supervisory performance evaluation/reference from within last 2 years
• Proof of taxable address (one of several acceptable documents)

Schedule & Other Details

• 36-40 hours/week billable OT; OT billable after 40 hours/week
• Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limit of 1 day off request between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers
• Scrubs color: Gunpowder Gray
