Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4 x 10-hour night shifts (20:30 - 07:00)
• Call requirement: Yes, 1-2 weeks of call during assignment (depending on call rotation)
• No weekend or float requirements
• Unit: 46-bed hospital with a 16-bed Emergency Department
• Average CT procedures: ~70 exams per day
• Unit has 2 Siemens cameras (Definition AS+ and Drive)
• Charting and PACS system: EPIC and Visage
• Scheduling: Per unit needs

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
• Prior travel experience not required; 1st time travelers accepted
• Must have Siemens equipment experience
• Work settings include: Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, Pediatric Adult Care, Pediatric Outpatient, Level I & II Trauma
• Image display and post-processing skills: 3D Rendering, Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR), Region of Interest (ROI) measurement

Certifications

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit specifics

Orientation & Start Details

• Orientation attendance is mandatory; missing any portion may delay or cancel start
• Start date subject to change based on class and trainer availability
• Travelers may start Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week but must be fully available with no other commitments
• Scrubs color: Royal Blue

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 6 months required
• Drug testing (9-panel) within 6 months required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year required
• Immunizations: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (per standard healthcare requirements)
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Photo for badge (passport style, solid white background) required ASAP after signing contract
• Various facility-specific documents and trainings required prior to start (e.g., confidentiality agreement, medication safety, hospital policies)
• EPIC system competency required for charting

Additional Notes

• No Return to Origin (RTO) allowed after booking; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation
• Unit does not require float or weekend shifts
• Radiation badge required for applicable techs (Radiology, CT, etc.)
• Candidates must provide proof of completing required trainings and certifications before or during orientation

This position is ideal for Radiology/Cardiology technologists with Siemens experience looking for a 13-week travel assignment with a consistent Monday-Thursday night shift schedule and no weekend requirements. Prior travel experience is not mandatory.
