Travel RN Opportunity - PACU Unit
Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Shift: 12-hour shifts with on-call (7a-7p shift followed by on-call 7p-7a, then off the next day)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- On Call:
- One call night per week (7p-7a)
- One 48-hour weekend call every 4 weeks
- On-call is required
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
- Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week plus call
- Floating Policy: May float to Day Surgery
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Unit Beds: 13
- Procedures Performed: IV starts, drips, arterial lines, pain blocks
- Certifications Required: ACLS, PALS, BLS
- Dress Code: Uniforms provided
Experience Requirements
- Years of PACU Experience: 3 years (higher value between 1-3 and 2 years)
- Trauma Experience: Level 2 trauma hospital experience required
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required
Additional Information
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse License
- Unit staffing includes RNs; availability of unit secretaries and techs
- Weekend and on-call requirements are variable but mandatory as described above
