Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Position Details

• Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts
• Unit: Very busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) mandatory

Credentials & Certifications Required

  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience
  • 2 recent references (minimum 1 supervisor or above)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Fit Test for N95 respirator within past 12 months (no onsite testing)
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30)
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within past 12 months
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred
• Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required

Background & Compliance Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
• Social Security Number trace for past 7 years
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification through background check company

Additional Notes

• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for flu vaccine or fit testing
• All documentation must be current and updated if there is a break in employment greater than 6 months
• Photo ID badge with specific photo requirements needed for onboarding

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists comfortable working night shifts in a high-acuity NICU setting. Compliance with all credentialing, health, and background requirements is mandatory.
