Job Opportunity: RN Operating Room (OR) - Massachusetts
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
- Location: Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- Shift: 5-8 hour day shifts including call, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Housing: Shared housing available (no guests or pets allowed)
- Transportation: Car required
- Return to Office (RTO): Not applicable (no RTO)
- Vaccination Requirements: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Experience Requirements
- Years of Specialty Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1 year RN OR experience typical for this role

Certifications & Licenses Required
- License: Valid RN license with primary source verification (both NURSYS and Board of Nursing required). Massachusetts conditional licenses are NOT accepted.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred).
- Additional Health Requirements:
- N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date (no religious exemptions)
- Documentation of MMR immunity or vaccination
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30)
- TB test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot within 3 months of start date
- Physician health statement within 365 days of start date
- Other vaccines preferred: Hepatitis B, Tdap
Background & Compliance Checks
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date
- Social Security Number trace for past 7 years
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start date
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start date
- Education verification of highest degree achieved
Documentation & Submission Requirements
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above)
- Skills checklist specific to the role
- Candidate submission coversheet
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form upon acceptance and for any extensions
- Housing agreement if moving into shared housing
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)
