Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical
Location: Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details

Required Experience
- Specialty: Medical/Surgical Nursing

Health & Immunization Requirements
- Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually
- MMR: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine OR two MMR vaccines OR proof of immunity via blood test
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred (3 vaccines or proof of immunity or declination)
- Tdap: Preferred within 10 years, updated upon expiration
Background & Compliance Checks
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Social Security Number trace for past 7 years
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days of start and annually
- Education verification of highest level achieved
Additional Notes
- Shared housing requires signing a housing agreement
- No religious exemptions for fit testing or flu vaccine
- Fit testing cannot be done onsite initially; must be completed prior to start
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is required
- Positive TB test requires negative chest x-ray documentation
- Candidate submission coversheet required for application
This position is ideal for a Medical/Surgical RN seeking a 13-week long-term assignment with mostly night shifts and weekend rotation in Massachusetts. Compliance with all health, licensing, and background requirements is mandatory.
