Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Roanoke, Virginia

Job Details
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN
- Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
- Assignment length: 14 to 26 weeks (flexible by request)
- Patient ratio: Currently 1:5 (goal 1:4)
- Floating: All travelers expected to float within their acuity level as needed
- Unit assignment determined by facility need after clinical evaluation
- EPIC experience required
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI)
Licensure & Experience
- State RN license verification required (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start)
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs (within 30 days of start)

- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- TB questionnaire required for all candidates
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or mask/declination form during flu season
Documentation & Compliance
- I9 or attestation required
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID with address within 100 miles of facility required within 48 hours of signing
- E-Verify or attestation required
- Residency declaration form if working on a compact license
- Photo for badge (professional, plain background)
- New hire paperwork and compliance checklists must be completed prior to start
- Fit testing form must be completed regardless of prior fit test on file
- Contract staff orientation manual review required prior to start (not required for inpatient RNs)
- References: 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required

- VA State Police Search completed onsite first day of orientation for home health and hospice candidates (no action required before start)
