Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Skilled Nursing Unit

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Skilled Nursing units. The nurse may be required to float to other inpatient units based on census.

Shift:

  • Night shift, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 36 hours per week

Requirements

  • Current Wisconsin RN License
  • CPR certification
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year nursing experience (default assumption for specialty nursing roles unless otherwise specified)
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws
  • Document care according to standards
  • Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
  • Participate in department/unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity
  • Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately

This position is ideal for an experienced RN comfortable working night shifts in a skilled nursing environment with flexibility to support other inpatient units.
