Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Avon, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (CT Tech)
- Shift:
- Saturday/Sunday 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Monday 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Years of Experience Required: 1 year (minimum)
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Certifications & Licenses Required
- ARRT (R) required
- ARRT (CT) preferred
- Indiana Radiology License (pending state license accepted)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit (verify with employer)
Work Schedule & Hours
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Guaranteed hours options:
- 8 and 10 hour shifts totaling 40 hours/week
- 3 shifts of 12 hours totaling 36 hours/week
- 4 shifts of 12 hours totaling 48 hours/week

- Patient types: Outpatient, Inpatient, and Emergency Room (ER) patients
- ER beds: 38
- EMR system: Cerner
- PACS system: Synapse
- Preferred experience with Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics
- Department size: 85+ employees
- Facility type: Short-Term Acute Care
Floating & Scheduling
- Possible floating to sister facilities if needed
- Block schedule accommodation to be discussed
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks including:
- 7-year residential/work history
- SSN Trace, County Criminal, Statewide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level III
- Education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Transcript/Diploma (official copy required)
- Education verification by third party
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (not required for techs)
- Color Blind Testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent)
- Unit competency exam
- HIPAA Acknowledgement
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start (specific respirators required)
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
- References: Minimum 2 from recent employment with appropriate supervisory titles
- Employment application with full work history and explanations for gaps
- Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually

This position is suitable for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of experience, licensed in Indiana or eligible for pending licensure, who are comfortable working nights and weekends with a flexible schedule including holidays. Prior travel experience is not required, and first-time travelers are welcome.
