Job Opportunity: Emergency Department RN - Moab, Utah
Position Details
- Specialty: Nursing (Emergency Department)
- Location: Moab, Utah
- Employment Type: Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Mostly nights, 3 shifts of 12 hours each (3 x 12's)
- Trauma Level: Level 4 Trauma
- Dress Code: Blue scrubs preferred

Job Description
- Function as both triage and primary care RN in the Emergency Department.
- Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics.
- Perform a broad range of general nursing duties with a high level of autonomy.
- Low nurse-to-patient ratios.
- Responsibilities include starting EKGs, IVs, drawing labs, providing comfort measures, and medication administration.
- Emphasis on critical thinking, patient safety, infection control, and handling stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs independently and heavier weights with assistance.
- Work both independently and as part of a small team.
- Maintain confidentiality and reliability with scheduling.
- Flexible to accept additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Utah RN license or compact state license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in medical/surgical and/or emergency department settings.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications or ability to obtain and use appropriately.
- Strong customer service and communication skills (oral, written, listening).
- Emotional maturity and professionalism in stressful situations.
