Unit: 3T Acute Care
Number of Beds: 41
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
Patient Ratios: 5:1
Equipment: Baxter pumps
EMR System: Meditech Expanse

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year in MedSurg nursing
Must Have:
- MedSurg experience
- Time management skills
Preferred:
- Stroke / neuro experience

Typical Procedures Performed

IV start
Foley catheter insertion
Nasogastric tube (NGT) start
Neuro checks

Certifications Required

NIH Stroke Scale Certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Registered Nurse License

Work Environment & Expectations

Floating Areas: MedSurg, Rehab, Progressive Care (step-down)
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Unit Policies: Adherence to HCA Code of Conduct and patient care policies
Schedule: Four weekend shifts per four-week schedule period
