Description

Travel RN - Med Surg (Medical-Surgical)

Location: Lonetree, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel


Unit Information

  • Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg / 604)
  • Facility Size: 240 beds
  • Staff: 15 Respiratory Therapy (RT) staff
  • Shifts:
    • Day Shift: Minimum staffing of 3
    • Night Shift: Minimum staffing of 3
  • Patient Ratios: 30-40 points average per shift
  • Equipment: PB 840 ventilators in ICU
  • EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

  • Administer treatments
  • Ventilator setup
  • Assist with intubation
  • Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analysis
  • Patient and staff education
  • Perform all respiratory therapy procedures
  • Work across multiple units including ED, Pediatrics (PEDS), ICU, NICU, and Med Surg

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
  • Registered Nurse License

Preferred Certifications

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty (Medical-Surgical)
