Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, 9 PM - 7 AM
• Start time may vary by +/- 2 hours based on unit needs (notified in advance)
• No on-call required
• Holiday: Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational with staff)

Experience & Requirements

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (CT Tech)
• Siemens experience required
• Epic experience required
• Virginia state license required (any active state license accepted; emergency authorization available while VA license processes)
• Prior travel experience: Not accepted for first-time travelers (must have prior travel experience)
• Locals not accepted (radius rule applies)

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA only)
• ARRT(R) required
• ARRT (CT) preferred
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC)

Clinical Skills

• Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Radiation safety knowledge

Floating

• May be required to float to a nearby facility approximately half a mile away

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• I9 or attestation required
• Driver’s License/State ID with address within 100 miles of facility required within 48 hours of signing
• E-Verify or attestation required
• Background check: 7-year history within 1 year of start, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Various federal and state background checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification of highest earned degree required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, free from communicable diseases
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or declination form required during flu season
• 2 clinical references required
• Complete application/resume required
• Annual skills checklist update required
• Radiation badge must be supplied by the client (not provided by agency)

Notes

• Candidates must review and acknowledge orientation and safety manuals prior to start
• Various facility-specific compliance and confidentiality agreements must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Candidates may be subject to state police searches on the first day of orientation (for certain roles)

This position requires a minimum of 1 year of specialty experience (implied by requirement for prior travel experience and Siemens/Epic proficiency). Prior travel experience is required.
