Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Roanoke, Virginia

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: Up to 52 weeks (flexible)
- Travelers may request contracts ranging from 14 to 52 weeks.
- Standard contract length is 13 weeks.
- Start date is flexible.
- Shift: 3x12 hour nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
- Unit assignment determined by facility need after clinical evaluation.
- Patient ratio currently 1:5 on PCU, with a goal of 1:4.
- Floating within acuity levels is expected.
Required Experience & Skills
- Specialty: Registered Nurse in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

- 7-year background check within 1 year of start (must include all locations lived/worked in past 7 years).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals.
- Education verification of highest earned degree required (transcript/diploma required for PCU).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming freedom from communicable diseases.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually.
- Drug screen (10 panel) within 30 days of start.
- Flu vaccination or declination form required during flu season.
- Photo for badge (professional, plain background).
- Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start.
- Fit testing for masks within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students).
- TB questionnaire required for all candidates.
- References: 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required.
- Employment application/resume required.
- Skills checklist updated annually.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be prepared to float as needed within their acuity level.
- Orientation manual review required prior to start (not required for inpatient RNs as of 7/10/23).

- Radiation badges are no longer provided for new candidates; if required, must be supplied by the client.
