Unit Information
- Pediatric unit at a children’s hospital
- Number of beds: 38
- Number of staff: 15
- Shift staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, up to 10 RNs, up to 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCT)
- Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, up to 10 RNs, up to 3 PCT
- Patient ratio: 1 RN to 4 patients
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Valid Texas RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Preferred Certifications
- APHON Chemo Certification (preferred but not required)
