Travel RN - ICU (SICU)
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Unit: SICU (26 beds)
- Staff: 15 total (Day shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech; Night shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech)
- Patient Ratios: 1:2; 1:1 for high acuity including post-CABG patients
- Equipment: Balloon pumps, CRRT, Hypothermia, ECMO
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse License
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH Certification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in ICU or specialty area
Preferred Skills
- TNCC or ATCN certification preferred
Typical Patient Population & Procedures
- Trauma patients
- Post-CABG and Post-TAVR patients
- General post-surgical ICU patients
- Procedures: Chest tubes, central lines, medication drips
