Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary Contract

Job Description

• Position in a medical-surgical unit with 20 to 34 beds, patient ratio typically 1:6
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color
• 8-hour non-billable orientation required
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply (1.25%)
• No block scheduling available; 36-hour guaranteed time off is not available
• Must be willing to float to any medical-surgical unit
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for the assignment
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at the time of profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of current medical-surgical nursing experience
  • Telemetry experience required
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - current and must be uploaded with profile
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - current and must be uploaded with profile
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification - current and must be uploaded with profile
  • Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Licenses:

  • Active Massachusetts RN license required and must be uploaded with profile
  • Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License required for agency submissions
• Other:

  • Willingness to float between units is mandatory
  • Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred
  • Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times (no "anytime")
  • Must include permanent address in profile to verify distance requirement
  • Work history and skills checklist relevant to medical-surgical nursing (within 1 year) required
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
