Job Opportunity: RN IR/EP - Massachusetts (Lynn)
Position Details
- Specialty: RN IR/EP (Interventional Radiology / Electrophysiology)
- Location: Lynn, Massachusetts
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
- Unit: Radiology CT Scanner (Lynn Medical Village CT)
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Patient Population: All
- Census: 1-2 patients per shift
- EMR System: EPIC
- Floating: Not required
- Rotating Shifts: Not required
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years medical-surgical nursing experience
- Preferred 1 year critical care experience
- Note: No indication that prior travel experience is required
Education & Licensure
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Massachusetts RN License required (no conditional licenses accepted)
Certifications Required
- BLS (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS (American Heart Association only) preferred
Skills Required
- IV placement
- Emergency response and management
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Primary source verification of professional license and certifications (within 30 days of start)
- N95 Fit Test (within 365 days of start, updated annually; no religious exemptions)
- MGB Medication Exam (80% passing within 365 days)
- MGB Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam (80% passing)
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days
- Criminal background checks including:
- MGB Criminal Background Check (within 45 days prior to start)
- Massachusetts CORI (within 30 days prior to start)
- National Sex Offender Check (within 30 days prior to start)
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid)
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above)
- Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
Additional Notes
- No floating or rotating shifts required
- Patient care involves radiology CT scanner unit with low census
- Shift schedule is consistent weekend days with long shifts
This position is suitable for experienced IR/EP RNs with strong medical-surgical and critical care backgrounds who prefer weekend shifts and a stable patient ratio in a radiology setting.
