Description

Travel RN - PCU Multi Trauma Unit

Location: Denver, Colorado

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit: Medical Trauma Unit (MTU 655) – Step-Down Unit
Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Beds: 20
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, 3 techs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, 2 techs
Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 nurse to 4 patients (charge nurse is patient-free)
Equipment: Vents, Feeding Pumps, IV Pumps, Wound Vacs, Specialty beds, Suction, Chest Tubes
EMR System: Meditech
Level: Level 1 Trauma Center

Required Skills & Certifications

Certifications:
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (preferred)
- NIH Certification
Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Clinical Skills:
- Ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, tracheostomies, and suction
- Experience placing chest tubes and performing bedside bronchoscopies

Experience Requirements

Years of Experience in Specialty: Minimum 2 years
Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
