Travel Physical Therapist Opportunity

Location: Port Charlotte, Florida
Employment Type: Travel


Facility & Unit Overview

  • Acute care hospital with 253 beds, including a 20-bed Inpatient Rehab unit
  • Approximately 20 Physical Therapy caregivers on staff
  • Day shift only for PT, OT, SLP; no night shift
  • Typical patient load: 9-10 patients per day (75% productivity standard)
  • Equipment: Mobility equipment
  • EMR system: Meditech

Job Requirements

  • Valid Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license
  • MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in Physical Therapy (highest required experience)
  • BLS certification required
  • Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating schedule with hospital staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Meditech EMR system
  • ICU experience

Typical Responsibilities

  • Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment of patients
