Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Contractor
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Unit: CT Imaging (3 beds, fast-paced)
  • Patient Types: Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department (ED)
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Scheduling: Weekend rotation every other weekend; up to 7 days off can be approved
  • Call: No
  • Orientation: 1 full day on the unit
  • Scrub Color: Gray

Required Experience & Certifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in CT imaging (highest required)
  • Level 1 trauma experience required
  • Active BLS (AHA)
  • Active ARRT (CT) certification
  • Active IEMA (CT) certification
  • Experience with GE equipment
  • Strong IV skills and comfortable with power injectors

Skills & Competencies

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with trauma and stroke patients
  • Ability to work with inpatient, outpatient, and ED populations
  • Familiarity with EPIC charting system, Alaris, and Pyxis equipment
  • Experience with 3rd party image processing

Support & Team

  • Receptionist available during day shifts
  • Hospitalist/Physician available after hours
  • Radiologist resident onsite
  • Tech and transport aides available on weekend night shifts

  • Parking available (fee applies)
  • Public transportation access nearby (CTA Brown line)
  • Average scans per day: approximately 15
