Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) (Afternoons)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
• Unit has 14 beds with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Use of advanced robotics equipment including DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa
• EMR system: EPIC

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current Operating Room experience required
  • Proficient experience with DaVinci robotics required
  • Proficient experience in Orthopedics including Total Joints and general surgery required
  • Travel experience within the previous 24 months preferred (not explicitly required)
• Licensure:

  • Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Other:

  • Skills checklist specific to Operating Room Nurse discipline required
  • Professional references from within the last 24 months preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
• Nice to Have:

  • Scrub experience

Additional Information

• Orientation dates available: February 9 and February 16
• Call back and on-call pay multipliers apply
• Charge/precept pay available
• Local radius rule: 50 miles
