Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Modality: CT (Computed Tomography)

• Scanners: 5 available

• Patient Types:

  • Inpatient, Outpatient, ER
  • Some pediatric patients (approximately 2-3 per month, mostly teenagers; no prior pediatric experience needed)
  • General anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, head
  • Procedural cases including biopsies and drains

• Patient Ratios: 1:1

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of general CT experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience with the patient types listed above
  • Experience with GE equipment preferred (GE Revolution and Evo)
  • First-time travelers are accepted (prior travel experience not required)

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT-CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - CT certification)

Work Environment & Support

• Supported by other CT technologists, Radiology RNs, Respiratory Therapists, Code Blue team, and centralized transport
• Charting system: EPIC
• No floating to other units
• Orientation: 3 shifts to learn the workflow

Scheduling & Policies

• No on-call duties
• Holiday expectations: 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday
• Fatigue policy: Maximum 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
