Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Experience Required: Minimum of 18 months recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience in a permanent position prior to travel
• Licensure: Must have a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or American Red Cross
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or American Red Cross
  • Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
• References: One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required to qualify for submission (Charge RN references accepted)
• Testing: ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate medication competency test will be completed during orientation; passing scores are required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) must be carried on assignment
• Background checks including FCRA compliant 7-year search, education verification, and fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) are required and must be current
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing and updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including Snellen eye exam (required for new candidates signing after 4/11/2025)
• Fit mask test (3M N95) within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Tdap vaccine every 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
• Drug screening: Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted)

Orientation & Training

• Completion of online training modules prior to start is mandatory
• Pass/fail testing for ECG and medication competency during orientation
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required
• Annual acknowledgment of safety manual and pass/fail testing required

Additional Requirements

• Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, with at least 2 years in acute care and similar specialty area
• Two professional references required from employment within one year of start date (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
