Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Med/Surg/Tele) - Travel/Contract

Location: Southbridge, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Assignment Length: 8 weeks
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
Patient Ratio: 6 to 7 patients per RN during night shift


Job Details

  • Fit Mask Test within past year (3M-1860-Regular or Small mask)
  • Immunizations and Titers:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start (or compliant with policy if past positive)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Immunity proof or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
    • Varicella: Immunity proof or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
    • Hepatitis B: Immunity proof or booster series; declination allowed only if non-responder after full series
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within past 10 years
  • Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start including Marijuana/THC; instant tests not accepted
  • Seasonal Vaccinations:
    • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination required for 2025-26 season
    • COVID vaccine or facility-specific declination required; no medical exemptions accepted
  • Competency Exams: Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • References:
    • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
    • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care roles

Notes

  • This is an 8-week travel assignment in a hospital setting requiring night shift coverage.
  • EPIC EMR experience is mandatory.
  • Patient ratios during the night shift are approximately 6-7 patients per nurse.
  • Compliance with all health, background, and licensing requirements is mandatory prior to start.
  • No exemptions allowed for COVID vaccination.
  • ACLS certification is optional but may enhance candidacy.
