Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology (IR) (Days)

Location: Glens Falls, New York
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in the Interventional Radiology Lab providing care to both acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations.
• Care primarily provided within the Cardiovascular Lab.
• Staff available 24/7 for emergency procedures during off hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including specialized physicians, registered clinical nurses, and registered radiology technologists.

Procedures and Patient Care Involves:

• Angiogram of Multiple System
• Peripheral Revascularization
• Placement and Maintenance of Hemodialysis Catheter
• Nephrostomy Drainage Tubes
• Placement and Maintenance of Gastrostomy and Jejunostomy Tubes
• Central Line Placement
• Vascular Access including Port Placement and Integrity
• Pain Management Intervention
• Paracentesis/Thoracentesis
• Pre and Post-Care for Renal, Liver, and Lung Biopsy patients
• Carotid Stenting

Patient Population:

• Adolescent to Geriatric
• Trauma Level I

• Cerner
• McKesson

Dress Code:

• Hospital provided scrubs

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse with previous Interventional Radiology (IR) experience (Required)
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current New York RN License (Required)
  • ACLS (Required)
  • BLS (Required)
• Experience with adolescent to geriatric patient populations (Required)
• Experience with procedural sedation, circulation, and recovery phase (Required)
• Ability to float to Cardiac Cath Lab (Required)
• Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not required
