Job Opportunity: Nursing (Medical Unit Days)

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice acts.
• Document patient care according to standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family instruction.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Apply critical thinking related to patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately.

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin nursing license (RN).
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Flu.
• Must be willing to float to other units as a Travel RN.
• Availability for every other weekend and holiday coverage.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM).
