Description

Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Unit: Women’s Health Unit
Facility Type: Hospital (15 beds)
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Details

Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse
Unit Staffing: 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) per shift
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: Requires 4 weekend days per contract (weekend shifts are Saturday and Sunday nights)
Floating Policy: As needed
Patient Experience Initiatives: Whiteboards, Bedside Shift Report, Hourly Safety Rounds, Key Words
Communication: Use of iMobile phones for staff, physician, and patient communication

Job Requirements

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) with Medical/Surgical background
Required Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
Certifications: BLS required
Licenses: Valid Registered Nurse License
Procedures Performed on Unit: Bladder challenges, vaginal packing
Dress Code: Navy Blue uniform
