Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Avon, Indiana
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Position Details
- Role: CT/X-Ray Tech (XR work as helping hands will be required)
- Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 7:30 PM – 6:00 AM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care
Experience & Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: 1 year in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-timers accepted)
- Licensure: Indiana state license required and must be in hand before starting (pending state license not accepted)
- Certifications Required:
- ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Special Requirements:
- X-Ray experience required in: Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax, Musculoskeletal, Lower and Upper Extremities, Surgery/C-Arm
- Equipment Used:
- CT: Siemens and Phillips 256 slice scanners
- X-Ray: Siemens XR and R/F rooms, Agfa and GE portable units, GE C-arms
Work Schedule & Hours
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Shift options include:
- 8 and 10 hour shifts totaling 40 hours/week
- 3 shifts of 12 hours totaling 36 hours/week
- 4 shifts of 12 hours totaling 48 hours/week
Additional Requirements & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks including 7-year history, criminal, sex offender, education verification, and others as required
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 12 months of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months (specific respirators required)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer, no exemptions)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer, no exemptions)
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (strongly recommended)
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
- Competency exams and color blindness testing required
- References: Minimum 2 from recent employment with supervisory titles, verified within 2 years
- Employment application and skills checklist required with full work history and gap explanations

This position is suitable for CT Techs with at least 1 year of experience in radiology/cardiology settings, comfortable working night shifts and holidays, and who hold the required certifications and Indiana state licensure.
