Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Huntington, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Certification: ARRT (CT) required
• Experience: No specific years of experience required (first-timers accepted depending on experience)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Work Schedule:

  • Weekend shifts as needed
  • No on-call required
  • Block scheduling accommodated
• Local Radius Rule: 50 miles (locals not accepted)
• Licensing: Pending state license accepted
• Guaranteed Hours: 80 hours per 2-week period
• Special Requirements: Must be able to work both X-Ray and CT

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Education verification and transcript/diploma required
• State license primary source verification
• NURSYS verification for RNs (if applicable)
• Various facility-specific new hire forms, confidentiality agreements, standards of behavior, IT access, OSHA post-test, COVID and vaccine exemption forms
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (initial and annual)
• Drug testing (LabCorp only, specific panel, within 30 days of start, updated annually)
• Immunizations and titers required or accepted with exemptions:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (vaccination required within 10 years; medical/religious exemptions accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (QGold or T-Spot within 6 months, updated annually)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titers or vaccinations with boosters as needed)
  • Hepatitis B (titer and vaccination series or declination form required)
  • Varicella (positive titer or vaccinations with boosters as needed)
  • Hepatitis A and C antibody titers within 6 months
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required annually (medical/religious exemptions require approval and forms)
  • COVID-19 seasonal vaccine required; declination form required if opting out

Certifications

• ACLS (AHA only) as required
• BLS (AHA only) required for all candidates except MLTs and non-clinical
• PALS (AHA only) as required
• NRP, TNCC, and other certifications as applicable

Competencies

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 6 months of start
• General competency exams required within 6 months of start
• Core HIPAA and safety training required

References & Evaluations

• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the system over 1 year
• Internal evaluations required if previously worked over 2 years

This position is ideal for CT Technologists certified in ARRT with flexibility to work X-Ray duties, open to travel contracts, and able to meet comprehensive credentialing and immunization requirements.
