Job Opportunity: RN - PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Location: Lonetree, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

Unit: 5th Floor Med/Tele/PCU
Number of Beds: 38
Number of Staff: 73 total
Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 6-7 RNs, 2-3 MSTs
Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 7-9 RNs, 2-3 MSTs
Patient Ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse (days and nights)
Equipment: Lifts, dynamap, cardiac monitoring equipment
EMR System: Meditech

Required Certifications & Licenses

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NIH Certification
Registered Nurse License

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty (Progressive Care Unit)

Preferred Skills

Cardiac experience
Team-oriented and positive attitude

Typical Procedures Performed

Cardiac drips
Cardiac catheterizations
Post VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery) care
